Situation:

Undertake re-pricing of 9 million units due to VAT increase – 17.5 to 20%.

A time sensitive challenge due to the sales & supply chain impact, therefore they required a quick and immediate solution.

Task:

Each item required the production & application of re-pricing & barcode labels.

Receipt of direct inbound containers (boxed & hanging), collections & deliveries to and from Tesco DC at Daventry.

Action:

Created a dedicated project team to over see the smooth running of the project

Over see ICS transport fleet.

Our IT department created a direct link to Tesco, allowing each item’s barcode and price to be downloaded and printed on a label thanks to the installed in-house Avery Dennison print facility.

Result:

Exceeded 9 million units in the time frame allocated with ICS transport undertaking up 18 loads daily in and out of Tesco DC at Daventry.
